A drone that needs no radio link cannot be jammed. It can still be shot.

Fiber-optic FPVs fly on a spool of glass. Autonomous drones fly on their own terminal guidance, with the radio off. Neither one cares about electronic warfare, and both are arriving in numbers.

SASCUATCH is a handheld, gimbal-stabilized kinetic system for small drones: a semi-autonomous robotic sidearm. The operator points it in the drone's direction. It finds the drone, holds the aim through his footsteps and breathing, and fires when the solution closes.

Built for the man on foot, who today has a rifle and a few seconds.

Ears before eyes

A small drone is heard long before it is seen. Acoustic detection cues the operator to a bearing while the aircraft is still a speck, turning a few seconds of warning into enough time to bring the system up and let it acquire. Reaction time, not muzzle velocity, is what usually decides these engagements.

Stabilization

A direct-drive gimbal running closed-loop on gyro feedback rejects hand tremor, gait, and footstrike while the operator moves. Vehicle and tripod mounts never had to solve this problem. A dismounted system does.

Point, don't aim

Onboard computer vision acquires the target, tracks it frame to frame, and predicts the intercept. Aiming is machine work. The operator keeps his attention on the fight.

More than one

Swarms are the reason a single shot is not an answer. The system re-acquires after every round and works down a queue of targets rather than firing once and resetting. V2 replaces the revolver with a purpose-built cylinder for faster follow-up shots, and the economics hold: commercial ammunition means volume is affordable in a way interceptors are not.

No emissions

Nothing to detect, nothing to jam, and no reliance on the drone having a link to break. The effect is kinetic and the ammunition is commercial, a few dollars a shot rather than thousands.
